This role is to monitor the product development process to ensure the on-strategy and timely delivery of new products and updates to existing products. The Assistant Product Manager will also support the development of product plans and completing product briefs.

Accountabilities:

· Monitor the development and execution process with PM/PD/QAS/RA/PT to ensure on-time and on-strategy delivery of new products and updates to existing products

· Develop project timelines and assign tasks to team members within SAP

· Responsible for the listing of all approved projects in the internal LBL PLM as well as ensuring new GTINs are given to CBST/Category to list in SAP

· Support the PM in chairing design kick-off meetings to ensure team alignment to the project strategy by gathering information and samples

· Support the PM in chairing project kick-off meetings with the vendor. Develop vendor-specific timelines and communicate all of the information a vendor will require in order to support the on-time delivery of a project, as well as understand LCL critical path milestones

· Manage the critical path for all active projects and report on project status

· Chair weekly team meetings with the team (PM/PD/QA/RA/PT) to review the status of projects and help develop solutions to barriers/project delays

· Act as a liaison between the project team and the in-house editorial, design, and production team

· Responsible for ensuring artwork quotations are signed off by vendors

· Support the PM in the development of a strategic product plan and SAP product briefs reflecting business priorities which meet or exceed category financial objectives

· Assist and capture meeting minutes during bi-weekly category management meetings

· Assist the PM, when required, in preparing for Quarterly Strategy Sessions using LBL business initiatives, Mintel, category reviews and AC Nielsen as support information

· Create and analyze reports from Microstrategy and SAP retail and builds weekly sales reports for PM & Director

· Responsible for master label copy creation/circulation and artwork circulation to team and vendor

Job Qualifications:

· Post secondary education

· Experience in project management is an asset

· Well developed project management skills are essential

· Highly organized, able to prioritize effectively and work independently in a fast paced environment

· Strong time management skills and problem solving skills

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written

· Strong work ethic with a passion for detail and accuracy

Key Measures (Performance Indicators):

· On time delivery of product plans that deliver to approved strategies

· Contribute to the achievement of defined sales objectives
