Loblaw Agency is currently looking for an Associate Creative Director to join our team. Reporting to the CD, they will play an integral role in helping to shape our iconic brands. The chosen candidate will possess the insight, knowledge and professional leadership to confidently bring concepts to life.
You will lead a team of designers and copywriters, and are passionate about unique, imaginative, customer centric ideas. You understand what makes each of the channels unique and you are driven by results. You're a team player and collaborator who wants to deliver all the most engaging ideas and visual communication in support of our brands, including PC Insiders Report and President’s Choice®, Canada’s #1 and most trusted CPG brand.

Key Responsibilities:
- Leading a team in developing exceptional creative ideas for a diverse range of tier one brands, across all mediums
- Strong Strategic acumen to deliver creative ideas on brief and on brand
- Strategic and executional experience with CRM and lifecycle best practices
- Evaluate team structure and effectiveness and create action plans for any needed changes
- Lead the direction of the team and partners to develop imagery (e.g., photography, illustration) and copy to best support the creative strategy and vision
- Ensure brand guidelines and directives are embraced and adhered to
- Stay curious and be familiar with competitor marketing programs and creative techniques
- Ensure creation of effective, industry leading creative concepts
- Create inspiring, concise presentations and share your work effectively with Senior Leadership
- Be resourceful to work with different budgets and in partnership with production, come forward with ideas, solutions and suggestions
- Proactive ideas/projects as directed by the CD as we build our world class agency
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of relevant creative experience
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma, new media arts, communication design, creative advertising or equivalent
- Expertise in leading an engaged creative team (with direct reports) and evaluating performance effectiveness
- Expert ability to lead and direct photography and broadcast shoots (experience in food photography preferred)
- Trusted partner with the insight, knowledge and professional leadership to confidently move from concept through to completion of a project
- Expertise in editorial design
- Master in the art of storyboards for the production of social media, television, digital etc.
- Proven ability to lead a team through multiple campaigns in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to create effective, original advertising materials
- Exceptionally innovative and creative, with excellent ability to collaborate
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with peers and Senior Stakeholders through presenting inspiring & strategically driven creative and ideas
- Expert knowledge in industry-standard software and tools such as the Adobe Creative Cloud, MS Office, Workfront, and online market research
- Experience in brand development in multichannel marketing (Editorial, Experiential, Print, Social, Digital, Apps, Events, TV, Print, OOH etc)
