Bakery Department Lead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day to day operations of the Bakery department including; ordering ,merchandising, customer service and scheduling (with ASM input)
  • Team leader; delegate tasks to employees in the department to achieve merchandising standards set out by DMAP and merchandising guides.
  • Adhere to company standards and ensure that the company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Provide inputs in Employee Hiring, Training and the ongoing Development and motivation of the team.
  • Adhere to strict cleaning schedule ensuring a high level of cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Able to take on M.O.D. responsibilities once or twice a week.
  • Available to work minimum 2(two) nights including weekends.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities could be assign based on needs of business as deemed by owner.

Requirements

  • Experience and sound working knowledge of the Bakery Department a plus.
  • Must be available to work a minimum of 2(two) nights including weekends.
  • Previous management/ leadership experience in the retail industry is an asset.
  • Courses in merchandising or business management would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • System skills (Email, SAP, and PC. applications).
