Overview
To be responsible for the effective operation of the Bakery Department by maximizing sales and gross profit, ensuring sales’ goals and budgets are met.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring exceptional customer service is provided in a courteous manner to maintain our reputation for friendly, effective, and personalized experience
- To oversee the effective ordering, production, merchandising of all bakery products and ensure attractive displays to maintain and increase sales;
- To plan daily production sheets to ensure variety in bakery products, and effectively prioritize and organize all production and department functions;
- To effectively control inventory through pricing and signage of bakery products to achieve company goals and budget so as to maximize sales and profits;
- To schedule, direct, supervise and discipline department staff and train all new employees;
- To be responsible for the opening and/or closing functions of the department;
- To ensure the maintenance of equipment and the safety and sanitation of the production and back room areas, as per Company Policy;
- To respond to any customer inquiries, requests, and complaints, ensuring courteous customer relations at all times;
- To perform other duties, as required.
The Ideal Candidate Would Possess:
- Exceptional customer service skills
- The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a qualified baker/decorator, preferably in a retail environment;
- Previous managerial experience and knowledge of production schedules is a definite asset;
- Flexibility to work a variety of hours which include days, evening, nights, and weekends;
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
- Must possess excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
