Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring exceptional customer service is provided in a courteous manner to maintain our reputation for friendly, effective, and personalized experience;
- Responsible for following proper receiving of Dry side deliveries both DSD and warehouse orders & enforce Company receiving policies and procedures on all incoming shipments;
- To oversee the reclamation program;
- To ensure the conditions and standards of the department are maintained and properly merchandised on a daily basis;
- Create and assist with pick list and filling promotional items, planograms, out of stock scans (hole counts), price audits, cycle counts, allocating of products, price checks, price/label changes, data strip maintenance, and shelf danglers for all departments;
- To be responsible for the proper use and operation of the computerized receiving system in accordance with Company policies, procedures and standards;
- To assist in maintaining a clean and organized selling floor, backroom and receiving areas at all times;
- To maintain the department in the absence of the manager;
- To assist in the training and supervision of part time staff;
- To ensure work is completed in accordance with safety policies and procedures; and
- To perform other duties as assigned;
The Ideal Candidate Would Possess:
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the retail food industry, specifically Grocery;
- Excellent product knowledge and exceptional familiarity with the store layout;
- Ability to work independently;
- Excellent organizational skills, able to prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines, and able to problem solve effectively;
- Working knowledge of computer hardware and / or software applications is essential (i.e. Telxon Pricing System and BDR) required;
- Strong knowledge of correct receiving procedures;
- Ability to work accurately in a fast paced environment;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; and
- Must be flexible to work a variety of hours including, days, evening, nights and week-ends;
