Are you passionate about the retail industry and delivering exceptional customer experiences? As a Merchant, MKT Cookies & Crackers within Loblaw’s Super Market Division, you will play a critical role in building out a strategy to grow the business. You will collaborate closely with category teams, providing them thought leadership on how to drive sales. These tactics will include pricing, promotional, assortment, and distribution recommendations.

What you will do
- Analyze and recommend new items to add and discontinue
- Conduct post-mortem review of category performance
- Support in building out promotional plans for offers
- SAP Pricing, Costing, and Assortment and Article Creation
- Conduct competitive analyses and provide thought leadership on what best-in-class looks like for the category
- Support negotiations with vendors for in-line business
- Work with Merchandising Promo, Operations and Allocation teams on store merchandising plans (DMAP)
- Prepare and send out store communications (store training materials, store merchandising standards)
- Vendor and Inventory Management (where required)
- Conduct vendor meetings to discuss assortment, planning and store visits
What You'll Need:
- 2 to 3 years merchandising experience
- Proven ability to contribute to category plans in-line with corporate strategies
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to influence without formal authority
- Drive to take initiative and build out the scope of the role
- Critical thinking skills and ability to formulate a holistic plan
- Ability to price, cost, assort items, create articles and upload templates in SAP
- Proven analytical experience
- Proficient with MS Office (specifically Excel)
