What you'll do:

  • Perform Flu and Covid-19 injections

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and dispensary

  • Assist the Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions using Health Watch software.

  • Evaluate legality, interpret and input all prescriptions, labels and consent forms to ensure patient information is up to date and in the pharmacy’s computer system.

  • Ensure all patient inquiries regarding prescriptions and non-prescriptions medications, uses, treatments, and recommendations are referred to the pharmacist on duty

  • Ensure customers are referred to the pharmacist when required for direct involvement in the sales of restricted access OTC products, counseling, or out of scope question

  • Maintain efficient flow of merchandise from receiving to the dispensary and update in the system

  • Follow a step by step workflow process to prepare medication orders for patients

  • Label medication and over the counter products, prepare medication blister packs, and mixtures

  • Commitment to promoting a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging

What you bring:

  • Health Watch software experience

  • Injection certified

  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn

  • Excellent oral and written communication and teamwork skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to problem solve and make decisions

  • Designation as Ontario pharmacy student
