Analyste Principal, Promotions, Maxi

Le titulaire du poste sera responsable de soutenir le directeur, Promotions, Maxi en adaptant les activités à la stratégie de Maxi dans le but de contribuer à la croissance des ventes et de la part de marché en effectuant des analyses historiques et en surveillant l’exécution et les résultats des programmes promotionnels de Maxi.

Responsabilités :

Planification de la promotion :

  • Respecter le calendrier de marchandisage, exécuter les instructions au besoin et communiquer les détails du programme aux parties prenants (équipe de la catégorie, équipe des promotions et allocations).
  • Participer à la répartition de l’espace dans la circulaire hebdomadaire.
  • Utiliser l’historique des ventes, l’outil d’efficacité promotionnelle et les modèles de rentabilité en vue de repérer et de diffuser les occasions d’améliorer nos ventes et notre rentabilité.
  • Analyser l’historique des promotions en vue d’orienter le choix des articles et d’émettre des recommandations sur les catégories afin de fournir des recommandations sur les opportunités qui apporteront une valeur ajoutée (ventes, tonnage et marges) le cas échéant.
  • Analyser les résultats des promotions et des programmes en magasin.

Exécution de la promotion :

  • Vérifier le flux des données dans les systèmes promotionnels.
  • Veiller à ce que l’équipe des catégories respecte les délais de planification.
  • Responsable de la création des supports et des numéros d'offre pour chaque bureau, selon les besoins.
  • Rapports - réviser le rapport hebdomadaire pour vérifier l’intégrité des données, comparer les résultats à ceux des années précédentes et identifier les éventuelles lacunes.
  • Examen de la concurrence - mener un examen de la concurrence, relever les problèmes et les occasions d’affaires.
  • Respecter les délais d'épreuvage hebdomadaires.
  • Vérifier rigoureusement les articles, les descriptions et les prix qui paraîtront dans la circulaire, par rapport au JDA et aux planificateurs d'annonces.

Exigences :

  • Diplôme postsecondaire - de préférence en études commerciales, en finances ou en économie.
  • De l’expérience en exploitation des affaires ou en planification de la mise en marché constitue un atout.
  • Capacité à contribuer aux programmes promotionnels en respectant les stratégies de Maxi.
  • Compétences informatiques intermédiaires requises (logiciels de Microsoft, particulièrement Excel).
  • Capacité de travailler de façon très organisée, où le souci du détail et la précision sont essentiels.
  • Expérience avec les systèmes de Loblaw de préférence (JDA, SAP).
  • Excellentes aptitudes pour la communication et les relations interpersonnelles.
  • Capacité à communiquer en français et en anglais.
  • Capacité à travailler efficacement de façon autonome et en équipe.

Senior Analyst, Promotions, Maxi

The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the Director, Promotions, Maxi in tailoring activities to Maxi strategy with the goal of contributing to sales and market share growth through conducting historical analysis and monitoring the execution and results of Maxi’s promotional programs.

Accountabilities:

Promotion Planning

  • Respect the Merchandising Calendar Timelines, execute Instructions as required and communicate program details to stakeholders (Category Team, Promo & Allocations Team
  • Assist in creating the weekly ad block allocations i.e. Flyer pages
  • Use historical sales data and the promotional effectiveness tools, model profitability scenarios to identify and communicate opportunities for improved promotional sales and profitability.
  • Conduct promotion specific historical analysis to assist in item selection, provide recommendations on opportunities that will provide incrementality (sales, tonnage and margins) where needed
  • Monitor results of all promotions and in store programs.

Promotion Execution

  • Verify the flow of data in Promotional Systems.
  • Confirm planning timelines have been met by category team.
  • Responsible for creating vehicles and offer #’s for each desk as required.
  • Reporting - review weekly report to verify data integrity, conduct comparison review to previous year’s results and identify any gaps.
  • Competitive review - do a comparison review, highlight issues and opportunities.
  • Respect weekly proofing timelines.
  • Rigorously proofing items, descriptions and pricing in flyer, compared to JDA and Ad Planners

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education - Business, Finance, Economics preferred.
  • Previous experience in retail operations and/or merchandising planning preferred.
  • Ability to contribute to promotional programs in line with Maxi strategies.
  • Intermediate computer skills required (Microsoft suite, specifically Excel).
  • Ability to work in a highly organized manner where attention to detail and accuracy are critical.
  • Experience with Loblaw systems preferred (JDA, SAP).
  • Excelled interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate in French and in English
  • Ability to work effectively autonomously and contribute effectively as part of a team.
