Reporting to the Supervisor the Supervisor of Health and Wellness, the Coordinator, Health and Wellness, provides confidential support and service for Health and Wellness tasks and to the employees of the LDCSB. The incumbent is responsible for the daily coordination of administrative functions for Health and Wellness, ensuring timely and efficient communication and processing of non-occupational claims and related tasks.
The coordinator manages the Health and Wellness general email account, coordinates return-to-work/accommodation meetings, administers employee non-occupational claims status, processes medical receipt reimbursements, organizes requests for assistive device and ergonomic assessments, as well as other functions to assist with the effective operations of the Health and Wellness Department, while upholding a high degree of confidentiality.
Qualifications and Skills required:
Post-secondary education in a related field, such as Human Resources or Business Administration Diploma
Minimum three years working experience in an administrative capacity
Experience working in the field of Human Resources and/or a health and wellness/claims management environment is an asset
Strong working knowledge of human resources information systems, MS Office applications, etc., experience working with claims management software an asset
High degree of discretion in working with confidential and sensitive personal information
Knowledge and familiarity of employee well-being initiatives and best practices
Be knowledgeable in and able to interpret relevant language of the Board’s Collective Agreements/Terms and Conditions, policies and procedures and legislation
Excellent interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently in an organized manner, and collaboratively in a team-based environment
