Required Skills:

  • Strong experience in accounting and bookkeeping
  • Experience with Sage and QuickBooks software
  • Knowledge of Zoho Books is an asset

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Bilingualism (French and English)

Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping Manager

  • Ensure complete and accurate bookkeeping, making sure all transactions are properly recorded and classified.
  • Supervise a team and efficiently review tasks, assist and guide employees when necessary.
  • Invoice Entry: Accurately and timely enter supplier and customer invoices into the accounting system.
  • Transaction Recording: Record all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, payments, and receipts.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Tax Filings: Prepare and submit federal and provincial tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Budget Updates: Participate in updating and monitoring budgets, providing regular reports on variances from forecasts.

Financial Analysis

  • Assist in the analysis of financial statements and provide recommendations to improve the company's financial performance.

Client Communication

  • Offer support and advice to clients on accounting and financial management matters.

Business Development

  • Contribute to implementing new technologies, including artificial intelligence.
  • Help raise the company’s profile through networking and content participation.
