MACKENZIE HEALTH FOUNDATION:
Mackenzie Health Foundation is the fundraising arm of Mackenzie Health, a dynamic regional health care provider, serving an ethnically diverse and rapidly growing community of over one million residents. Our job is to work with the community to raise funds to ensure that patients and families in York Region, including Richmond Hill, Thornhill, Vaughan, King and surrounding communities have access to exceptional and compassionate health care now and for generations to come.
Mackenzie Health includes two hospitals -Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital and Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital, as well as community-based services. Our hospitals work in tandem, with each site offering a full-service emergency department, core and specialized services to provide our community with the care they need.
It’s an exciting time to join Mackenzie Health Foundation. We’ve recently completed our incredible $250 million capital campaign, which built and equipped Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital - Canada’s first smart hospital and the first hospital in Vaughan. To anchor ourselves and achieve continued success, we’ve recently launch a new five-year strategic plan designed to fulfill our statement of purpose: Be a leader in health care philanthropy to inspire community support of patient care excellence at Mackenzie Health.

Contribute to the Foundation by:
• Accurate and timely data entry of donations and donor related information into Raiser’s Edge.
• Process credit card donations and complete bank deposits; complete refunds and gift adjustments as needed.
• Receive donations by phone and respond to donor inquiries.
• Weekly, prepare tax receipts, business acknowledgement receipts and/or thank you letters for gifts received; complete annual consolidated tax receipting.
• Monthly, complete reconciliation including identifying and resolving discrepancies, completing gift adjustments.
• Complete pledge reminder and past due processes, in collaboration with the Development team.
• Lead the Accounts Payable process, including invoice and payment processing.
• Lead, data reporting, providing data exports, donor statements, and Dashboards for staff as requested.
• Follow and maintain policies, procedures, processes, workflows and methodologies.
• Back-up for Specialist, Gift Processing, and Coordinator, during vacations/absences.

What must you have?
• Minimum three (3) years of data entry/gift processing experience
• Experience with Raiser’s Edge

What else do you bring?
• Strong numeracy skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy
• Aptitude for computers and ability to learn new systems quickly
• Basic accounting knowledge an asset
• Excellent phone etiquette and effective interpersonal skills with a professional presence and manner
• Able to multi-task and work independently
• Be a team player who is also self-motivated and works effectively in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and multiple workflows
• Able to maintain and work with a high volume of confidential information
• Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and good judgment, take initiative and respect the confidentiality of sensitive information and materials
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite

Preferably, your profile also includes:
• Experience working in a healthcare or not-for-profit environment is an asset
• Minimum college and/or university degree or equivalent
