About the Role

The Press Operator is responsible for completing all safety checks, quality checks and operating presses. All related paperwork and meeting production targets as stipulated. This individual is to report any safety or quality issues to the team leader or group leader immediately.

**The successful candidate for this role will work at our new Magna Chassis and Body Mississauga facility located in Mississauga, ON**

Your Responsibilities

Tasks that this position controls or is responsible for:

  • Perform changeovers, die protection controls and related equipment for all progressive/transfer operations.
  • Capable of training others to perform related tasks using SWI process.
  • Lift, move, stack, pack visually monitor parts through an established process on Progressive and transfer dies according to SWI.
  • Capable of understanding and completing paperwork accurately.
  • Meets or exceeds production, quality and delivery outputs as prescribed by established
  • Complete Pre-Shift Press Safety Inspection ensuring compliance with all required Health and Safety procedures.
  • Other duties that may be assigned.

  • Demonstrates enthusiasm for and commitment to the position and accepts responsibility for personal actions.
Your preferred qualifications
  • High school/GED or equivalent with previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Completion of grade 12 or equivalent with previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Background in manufacturing with press experience including quality and safety initiatives
  • Must hold a valid counter-balance forklift certificate/OH Crane Train Certificate
  • 1 year related experience
  • Physically capable of performing essential duties of the job
  • Working knowledge of the English language both written and oral.
  • Thorough understanding of SPC and Quality Requirements.
