Disability Administrator

Our Windsor Group Disability Office is looking for an analytical, self-starter who can work effectively in a team environment with excellent problem solving skills to join its fast paced team as a Disability Administrator.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to a team of Disability Case Managers as well as building a strong service relationship with clients. These duties rely on your excellent time management and organizational skills. Communication skills are also a vital part of this position as you will be responsible for maintaining excellent team relationships and client service deliverables.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Completion of all diary items

  • Supporting Disability Case Managers on a variety of tasks

  • Setting up Short & Long term disability, WSIB and Life claims within tight deadlines

  • Providing customer service by phone, email and in person

  • Handle requests for file copies

  • Scheduling appointments with medical professionals

  • Financial record keeping and invoice payments

  • Sending written communication to our stakeholders

  • Maintain verbal and written contact with clients, employers and service providers

  • General office administration duties as required

  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail including group inbox

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education (college or university level) is an asset

• Must be able to multi-task

• Excellent attention to detail

• 2 years minimum experience working in an administrative role is considered an asset

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Strong PC skills with experience using Microsoft Office 365, especially Outlook, Word and Excel

• Excellent organization, prioritization and planning abilities

• Adaptable, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Fast learner who is proactive and takes initiative

• Able to work independently as well as within a team

• Knowledge of medical terminology an asset

• Analytical

• Ability to probe, investigate discrepancies and resolve issues

• Tact and diplomacy

• Strong influencing and negotiation skills

• Must be flexible and able to cope with high workload volumes and conflicting deadlines

• Takes ownership of problems / issues and see to resolution

Salary range is expected to be between

$32,400.00 CAD - $50,625.00 CAD
