Join Manulife as a Multi-Asset Solutions and Portfolio Management Tools Co-op/Intern for the Summer 2025 term, where you will play a key role in improving portfolio management tools for custom fixed income solutions. You will also assist in developing new innovative multi-asset solutions and products to serve global clients. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in portfolio management tools and deepen your understanding of fixed income and private asset classes.

Position Responsibilities:

Learn the functions of portfolio management systems, including optimization, cash management, trade generation, benchmarks, and custom classifications.
Identify and test new portfolio management functions.
Conduct deep dives on specific asset classes and instruments for new products and solutions for investors, with a focus on fixed income and private asset classes.
Test and report on the differences and issues with the new portfolio management functions.
Write documentation detailing the workflow of the new tools for other portfolio managers to use.
Produce summary reports on asset classes and instruments, highlighting their potential advantages and disadvantages for investors.

Required Qualifications:

Currently pursuing or completed a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related fields.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Proficiency in computer programming is highly beneficial.
In-depth knowledge of fixed income asset classes and derivatives is preferred.
Experience with Bloomberg terminal is an asset.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Bilingual in English and French.

Vous aiderez également à développer de nouvelles solutions et produits multi-actifs innovants pour servir les clients mondiaux. Il s'agit d'une opportunité unique pour acquérir une expérience pratique des outils de gestion de portefeuille et approfondir votre compréhension des classes d'actifs à revenu fixe et des actifs privés.

Responsabilités du Poste:

Apprendre les fonctions des systèmes de gestion de portefeuille, y compris l'optimisation, la gestion de trésorerie, la génération de transactions, les indices de référence et les classifications personnalisées.
Identifier et tester de nouvelles fonctions de gestion de portefeuille.
Effectuer des analyses approfondies sur des classes d'actifs et des instruments spécifiques pour de nouveaux produits et solutions pour les investisseurs, en se concentrant sur les classes d'actifs à revenu fixe et les actifs privés.
Tester et rendre compte des différences et des problèmes des nouvelles fonctions de gestion de portefeuille.

Produire des rapports de synthèse sur les classes d'actifs et les instruments, en soulignant leurs avantages et inconvénients potentiels pour les investisseurs.

Qualifications Requises:

Actuellement en train de poursuivre ou ayant obtenu un baccalauréat en affaires, finance ou dans des domaines connexes.
Compétences analytiques et de résolution de problèmes solides, avec une excellente attention aux détails.
La maîtrise de la programmation informatique est fortement bénéfique.
Une connaissance approfondie des classes d'actifs à revenu fixe et des dérivés est préférée.
Une expérience avec le terminal Bloomberg est un atout.
Compétences solides en communication écrite et verbale, avec la capacité de travailler à la fois de manière autonome et en équipe.
Bilingue en anglais et en français.
