Product Owner - Advisor Experience

Within Canada Retirement we are seeking a highly motivated Product Owner for the Sponsor & Advisor Experience Pillar who will work closely with the technical lead and scrum master to deliver market leading digital experiences to market sources. This is a fast paced, changing environment where every day brings something new, and innovative ideas are encouraged. You will be partnering closely with the squad to evolve the online experiences through simplified and intuitive design; putting the sponsor and advisors needs first by providing the right tools and solutions to facilitate positive digital experiences. As part of the product team, you deeply understand our customers and are the bridge between business and technology to design experiences our customers will love. In your quest to deliver enhanced and new digital capabilities for our plan members, your collaborative nature will bring together internal players from IT, Marketing, Compliance and Finance (to name a few). You possess an excellent balance of analytical, communication, and leadership skills and are comfortable challenging others to continually improve our offering. As the Product Owner, you are responsible for the success of your squad.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Own the product backlog and feature prioritization.
  • Provide clarity on what and why of customer / business needs.
  • Drive the product strategy, planning, and delivery of key capabilities for features.
  • Act as the voice of the customer in the definition of product; incorporate feedback from customer insights and research.
  • Work in collaboration with internal and external key stakeholders to ensure successful development and implementation of features.
  • Ability to determine solutions and opportunities that will close gaps in product/service.
  • Launch new digital transactions, monitor the outcomes and experience of launched features and iterate where required.
  • Enhance and manage existing digital properties.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience and understanding and/or past interaction with Plan Sponsors, Plan Administrators, Plan Members and/or the Advisor and Consultant communities.
  • Product management or design experience with a focus on Digital and experience defining and tracking key digital performance indicators.
  • Working knowledge of how Advisors and Consultants grow and manage their business.
  • Prior track record of delivering digital projects, working within innovative environments, and leading execution across functional teams and business units.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the group retirement industry, preferably in digital experiences.
  • Advanced understanding of agile / design thinking concept development and project management methodologies.
  • User centered design, user experience and journey mapping skills.
  • Experience defining and tracking key digital performance indicators.
  • Ability to take initiatives, work with minimal supervision and passion to solve problems.

Salary range is expected to be between

$67,275.00 CAD - $112,125.00 CAD
