Manulife is embarking on a multi-year journey to build a Global Performance Marketing Shared Service CoE (Center of Excellence) which will fuel our bold ambition to become a digital customer leader. The function brings together Marketing Technology (Martech) and Demand Generation (Demand Gen) - a comprehensive, full-funnel approach designed to drive tailored customer journeys powered by connected data, that when integrated raises brand awareness, drives quality traffic, generates leads, secures sales, and fosters brand loyalty.

Job Description:

Manulife is seeking a passionate Senior Manager of Paid Search to lead and optimize our paid search efforts across North America. This role will shape the direction and growth of our search practice, collaborating closely with in-house teams and external partners. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of search-driven performance marketing and other digital acquisition channels, with advanced knowledge of SEO and AdTech platforms.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute end-to-end strategy for paid search campaigns, including setup and optimization.

  • Monitor campaign performance, making recommendations for optimization aligned with brand goals.

  • Measure and report on campaign effectiveness using quantitative and qualitative metrics.

  • Present campaign insights and recaps to the team.

  • Collaborate with the broader media team to enhance strategic shifts within platforms.

  • Lead learning agendas across brands, sharing findings with the organization.

  • Work with in-house teams and agency partners to integrate media and communication plans.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of digital marketing experience, with substantial experience in Search (Paid and/or Organic).

  • At least 5 years of management experience, with a proven track record of mentoring and managing teams.

  • Experience managing paid search campaigns for international accounts.

  • Proficiency in planning and executing campaigns across Google and Bing; SA360 experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of search marketing platforms, user trends, and best practices.

  • Agency and financial services experience preferred.

  • Strategic understanding of integrating search across the online to offline journey.

Skills and Competencies:

  • 5+ years of in-platform buying experience across Google, Bing, and SA360

  • Strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset.

  • Ability to work across a multitude of campaign types and regions simultaneously.

  • Effective at building and maintaining relationships with media partners.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.

  • Possess strong and up-to-date knowledge of the digital media landscape, including tech, inventory & data players, and best practices.

  • Strong experience setting up processes and best practices.

Salary range is expected to be between

$86,250.00 CAD - $155,250.00 CAD
