The Opportunity: As part of Maple Leaf Foods Maintenance team, the individual will be responsible for maintaining and servicing equipment used in the facility for the daily production of our products. Furthermore, they will ensure safe plant operations and a safe working environment for all employees

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life: Must be able to install, troubleshoot, and repair complex production equipment with minimum supervision
Enhance equipment performance, recommending improvements and implementing.
Must be able to troubleshoot and identify mechanical problems
Operate production equipment and check performance as required
Strong on PM (preventative maintenance) procedures in a 24 hour/day operation
Ensure all job-related operations are in compliance with GMPs, HACCP, WHMIS and health & safety requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned

What Youll Bring:
  • Must have valid Ontario Millwright license.
  • Must have own hand tools,
  • Knowledge of plant and equipment operations,
  • Ability to organize and plan daily tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a team based environment.
  • Knowledge of seaming machines and PLCs a definite asset
  • Good mathematical, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Available for weekend overtime as production demands require
  • Able to lift up to 60lbs
  • Standing & walking 95% of the time
