Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for the leadership of the Receivables & Collections Management functions for both Medavie Blue Cross and Medavie Health Services. You will oversee the leaders of multiple teams for various the operating companies under the Medavie Inc. umbrella, ensuring efficient performance of receivables and collections functions, while providing superior customer service to clients and business partners.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the billing, receivables and collections functions and unit leaders across the Medavie Inc. organization.
  • Ensuring appropriate controls are in place and adhered to, and operating processes are streamlined, effective and consistent wherever possible.
  • Managing relationships with various key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinating and contributing to the development and/ or preparation of financial analysis, specialized reports and queries for senior Finance leadership as requested.
  • Supporting process improvement projects and championing continual automation within the department.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in accounting, financial or insurance concepts, or equivalent experience.
  • Degree or designation in accounting / finance considered an asset.
  • 10 years’ experience in Billing, Receivables Management and Collections.
  • Leadership experience in an operational setting required.
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with a team, as well as independently.
  • Bilingualism in English and French required.
