Work Location: Val-d'Or (regular travel required)
Schedule: 5/2 daytime schedule

The job holder will be responsible for ensuring that health and safety requirements are in place and followed across various work locations, as well as maintaining good client relationships. They will coordinate and participate in investigations and site visits when their expertise is required. The HSE Coordinator also supports the Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality department by participating in audits and providing accurate data and reports. Travel is required, primarily within Quebec, with some travel to other regions of Canada.

Main Tasks:

  • Primary contact for all team members on health and safety matters.
  • Maintain and develop activities related to occupational health and safety.
  • Primary contact for any incidents or accidents within the Meglab group.
  • Travel to various sites and conduct audits to verify compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Represent Epiroc professionally and ethically to clients.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare periodic reports.

Requested skills

  • Certificate in occupational health and safety or relevant experience;
  • Proficiency in English and French, both spoken and written;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio);
  • Knowledge of health and safety laws and regulations, investigations, and risk assessments;
  • Willingness to travel on short notice;
  • Previous experience in the mining or manufacturing industry (asset);
  • Knowledge/experience with ISO 45001 standard (asset);

    • Additional tasks and responsibilities may be required.

      *Bilingualism is required for the Health and Safety Coordinator position, as a certain percentage of employees at Epiroc use English. This skill is essential, as the job holder will need to deliver training in both languages. Approximately 75% of the responsibilities will be in French and 25% in English.
