Analyst

A career in Financial Markets, Listed Cleared Derivatives team at National Bank means acting as a specialist in the various listed derivatives reconciliation back-office process. This job allows you to have a positive impact on our organization by leveraging your expertise in derivatives to ensure smooth operations and minimizing related financial risks.

Your job : 

• Serve as a resource for back-office activities
• analyze discrepancies in derivatives transactions  
• Manage derivatives transaction settlements 
• Validate margin calls for clients
• Optimize existing processes and controls and ensure compliant policies and procedures
• Quickly learn and adapt to IT systems
• Work autonomously, take initiative, and demonstrate attention to details
• Be available during peak periods

This position reports to the Director of Listed Cleared Derivatives and is part of a dynamic team of 10 colleagues who value customer satisfaction, performance, collaboration, and innovation.

Prerequisites:

• Three-year college diploma or academic equivalent, related to the sector of activity and three years of relevant experience. 
• Strong knowledge of derivatives and financial markets
• Familiarity with transaction settlement process
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Ability to work under pressure, quickly, yet rigorously
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
