Application Manager Mainframe Platform (Z/OS)

National Bank’s IT Delivery, Operations, Banking Services, Finance, Insurance and Digital Channels sector is looking for an Asset Manager to ensure the highest possible level of quality, maturity, reliability and sustainability of the central platform (mainframe) and its assets. These assets are at the heart of our business areas such as banking, financing, payment, card, etc.
Your job
  • Manage a multi-disciplinary delivery team of approximately 18 people including PO, analysts, cobol programmer analysts, automated test developers and designers
  • Be accountable for the technological foundations, operational readiness, security, sustainability (avoidance of obsolescence, scalability...) and financial viability of IT assets and services under your responsibility
  • Understand the end-to-end integration of all sub-components of ecosystem services under your responsibility, including interconnections with owners, consumers and providers of these services and capabilities
  • Influence business and IT partners to maximize and optimize the use of business and technology capabilities under your responsibility
  • Manage the relationship with the supplier(s) by participating in the delivery of IT services under your responsibility
  • Ensure compliance of these assets with applicable regulatory and corporate constraints (owner-custodian agreement, asset management processes, risk management processes, audit processes, plan and periodic replacement tests...)
  • Guarantee the operational viability of these assets with the depth of monitoring (tools, alerts...) and the levels of service agreements (support hours, high availability, application performance...) appropriate according to the criticality of the services
  • Ensure that any security vulnerabilities affecting its assets are addressed and resolved within the time frame prescribed in company policies
  • Be responsible for managing human capacity (hiring, monitoring, development/training plans...) and material required to maintain and operate the IT services and assets under your responsibility
  • Plan and manage on an ongoing basis the operational budgets allocated for the maintenance and operation of IT services and assets under your responsibility.

Within the IT Delivery, Operations, Banking, Finance, Insurance and Digital Channels business unit, you report to the Senior Manager responsible for Insurance, Private Equity and Central Platform (Z/OS). Our team stands out for its quality of delivery and collaboration with other teams.

Prerequisites
  • Degree related to the sector of activity
  • Important experience: General knowledge of the central platform (Z/OS)
  • Similar professional experience in managing the operation and maintenance of critical IT services
  • Political sense and ability to manage stakeholders (business partners, consumers, suppliers, partners...)
  • Experience in multidisciplinary software operations and development human resource management (product managers, information technology analysts, scrum masters, developers, quality assurance experts)
  • Experience in operational and delivery budget management - Agile/SAFe delivery experience
  • Experience in operationalization and management of major projects/programs
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and advanced problem-solving skills
  • High sense of quality service and customer orientation.
