Chief Data Engineering Analyst

A career as a data engineering analyst in the Risk Strategy Modeling team at National Bank means acting as a Specialist in analytical data.

You will work on data engineering projects such as database design, creating data pipelines for ingestion, cleaning and transforming data, and optimizing the performance of data processing systems. Your job

  • Responsible for exposing Risk Strategy Modeling, Perception, and Recovery data in the bank's target analytical environment, from ingestion to production.
  • Implement data quality monitoring solutions.
  • Optimize SQL and Spark tasks to improve data processing.
  • Influence business lines in data organization and presentation and participate in data strategy.
  • Take charge of complex initiatives or unusual situations involving creativity and excellent knowledge of various aspects of data engineering and analysis.
  • Participate in identifying and documenting data sources that meet the needs of our business lines.
  • Design, automate, and put into production real-time data integration solutions that meet the sector's needs, in compliance with the bank's best practices.
  • Establish performance indicators related to data analysis.
  • Determine data analysis infrastructure needs and evolve the technological environment accordingly.

Within the Risk Strategy Modeling, Collection, and Recovery sector, you will be part of a unit responsible for transforming the sector and will report to the Senior Director - MSR Transformation. Prerequisites

  • Bachelor's degree related to the sector and 5 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree related to the sector (data science, statistics, computer science, economics, mathematics) and 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Good knowledge of data models, structure, management, and data engineering.
  • Experience in data manipulation, structure, management, analysis, and prototyping, as well as knowledge in data modeling (data vault, dimensional).
  • Experience with handling massive data.
  • Experience of one or more data manipulation languages: SQL, Python, Spark, SAS.
  • Knowledge of JIRA, Jenkins, Git tools.
  • Knowledge of a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake and/or Databricks.
