The Mainframe platform team is responsible for delivering large-scale transformational projects, operating and governing the vendors that support the platform, supporting developers to make them efficient, and identifying opportunities to optimize and modernize the platform.

Your job
  • Actively participate in transformational Mainframe platform projects
  • Identify, analyze and document the business needs of our stakeholders
  • Define solutions and write quality functional and technical briefs for developer teams, including expected system behaviors, use cases, and user interactions with the system
  • Assist and participate in the implementation of the development strategy, tests and their automation
  • Participate in the development of robust and stable solutions for all requests
  • Make the link between business needs and technological requirements
  • Understand current processes and establish target processes by working closely with multiple stakeholders
  • Produce functional analyses and participate in the realization of assessments of new needs (projects and evolving requests)
  • Familiarize yourself with processes and propose improvements
  • Meet architecture targets
  • As required, supervise other resources in the context of the implementation of projects or evolving requests.

As part of the Mainframe Platform team, you are part of a team of 15 colleagues and report to the Senior Director Mainframe Platform. Our team stands out for its expertise and experience in the mainframe as well as its desire to innovate and modernize.

Prerequisites

  • Industry-related university degree or other degree and several years of relevant experience
  • Advanced knowledge of the Mainframe platform
  • Advanced knowledge of Mainframe platform security (ACF2 or RACF)
  • Experience in mainframe platform modernization
  • Demonstrated experience in business, functional, technical and application analysis in a complex organization
  • Hands-on experience with Agile development and delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
  • Experience in solution integration and/or maintenance
  • Experience in banking and/or finance, an asset 
  • Communication, work and communication skills.
