A career as a COBOL analyst-programmer in the Banking Transactional Assets - Back-end team at National Bank means acting as an IT expert in a dynamic and evolving environment. This position allows you to have a positive impact on our organization, leveraging your programming and analytical skills, as well as your Mainframe experience in the banking sector.
Your Role- Perform reliable and efficient programming, ensuring system performance, quality, and validation of developments according to established standards.
- Participate in testing phases throughout the development cycle, conducting comprehensive tests to ensure system adequacy.
- Provide professional support by developing or modifying software programs based on user needs and business requirements.
- Collaborate with users to understand business challenges and determine IT needs.
- Participate in Agile project activities, contributing to the analysis and implementation of change requests.
- Update technical and functional documentation to reflect changes and developments.
- Evolve our work methods and practices to enhance efficiency and agility.
- Assist in the development of our technical documentation standards and development guidelines.
Within the Banking Transactional Assets - Back-end sector, you will be part of a large team of 23 colleagues, including analysts, programmers, and testers, reporting to the Senior Director. Our team stands out for its extensive Mainframe experience and strong spirit of collaboration. We are currently modernizing our tools (code editor, version manager, co-pilot) and our methods.
Training based on experiential learning allows you to master your craft. Customized training content on various technical topics is also available to promote your continuous learning. Prerequisites
- College diploma and 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Knowledge of Central, COBOL, IMS/DB2, Easytrieve, IBM 390
- Familiarity with the MVS/ESA operating system, Windows
- Knowledge of development tools such as File-Aid, Xpediter, Endover, Spufi, Visual Studio Code, SonarQube, and GIT/GitHub
- Experience in the banking or financial sector is desirable
