A career as a Data solution architect in payments, cards, financial crime surveillance and regulatory compliance projects at National Bank is to act as an active contributor to the bank’s transformation which will give you the opportunities to fulfill your professional objectives as a solution architect in collaboration with various bank’s teams. This job allows you to have a positive impact on the organization leveraging your knowledge, great communication, influence, and skillset related to business processes, systems integration, Domain Driven Design (DDD) concept, cloud services, complex solution design.  

 

Your job

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to capture functional and non-functional requirements to build data architectures (conceptual, logical, physical) and design end to end technical solutions aligned on business and architectures objectives.
  •  Evaluate and recommend appropriate emerging technologies, platforms and tools for each project and ensure solutions are scalable, secure and compliant with industry standards.
    •  Identify the most appropriate integration patterns, such as APIs, streaming, MSA, containerization/serverless which allow scalability, maintainability and which are decoupled, secure and at lower cost.
    •  Apply DDD principles to solve complex problems while delivering a composable architecture.
    •  Act as guarantor for the data identification, catalog, quality, traceability and documentation.
  •  Produce native or hybrid Cloud solutions by choosing the AWS cloud services most appropriate to the project context such as Serverless and containers.
  •  Develop and implement robust security measures to protect data, applications and systems and ensure data security, privacy and regulatory compliance.
  •  Act as a trusted advisor to customers and partners, presenting and explaining technical solutions while leading and mentoring a team of developers across the entire project lifecycle.


Your team

Within the Payments, Cards, Financial Crime Surveillance and Regulatory sectors, you will be part of the solution architect team and you will report to the senior director of this team. This same team's mission is to design innovative and efficient solutions to improve the experience of our customers. Basic requirements

  • Completed bachelor’s degree in engineering or information technology, and ten years of relevant experience or master’s degree in information technology, and eight years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience as a solutions/data architect, focusing on large-scale, complex solutions.
  • In depth knowledge of the following technologies and tools: 
    • ODS (Operational data store)
    • OpenAPI and AsyncAPI standards
    • Power Designer Modelling
    • Business Catalog Collibra
  • In-depth knowledge of software design and development.
  • Proficient in AWS cloud services, such as EKS and Serverless, as well as structured and unstructured databases, such as RDS, DynamoDB and S3.
  • Mastery of the concepts, technologies, and solutions of a modern ecosystem, including composable architecture, micro-services, APIs, event architecture, orchestration, security and cloud services
  • Knowledge of processes associated with debit/credit cards is an asset.
  • Excellent communicator and ability to influence, strong capacity for synthesis, analysis, and popularization.
  • Experience with agile methodologies.
  • AWS Solution Architect Associate and/or Professional certification required.
