A career as a Senior Director of Financing Solutions in the Business and Private Management 1859 team means having a positive impact on your colleagues and clients through your knowledge of commercial financing. In this role, you work closely with business account managers and internal and external partners.
The role can be based in Quebec City or Montreal depending on the selected candidate.
Your job:
- Act as a credit expert on commercial financing transactions of $5 million and more, and on more complex financings including business transfers.
- Conduct quality commercial credit analyses according to the standards established by the credit center and make recommendations.
- Structure the credit request (agenda preparation) by mitigating risks and developing financing scenarios that meet clients' needs and align with the Bank's risk criteria.
- Participate in determining clients' financing needs in collaboration with the Business Account Manager.
- Negotiate credit terms and conditions with the Credit Center as needed and confirm the availability of financing to the Account Manager.
- Obtain feedback from Account Managers on the preliminary version of credit requests and modify them as needed.
- Act as a credit resource within the team and support, as needed, the development of team members' skills.
- Identify inherent risks in the sector's activities.

Reporting to the Regional Vice President, you will be assigned files from the Montreal region. You can work remotely or go to the office, and you will also need to make occasional trips for client and team meetings.

Prerequisites:
- Bachelor's degree related to the sector and seven years of relevant experience OR Master's degree related to the sector and five years of relevant experience OR University certificate and nine years of relevant experience.
- Experience in negotiation.
- Experience in commercial credit.
- Experience in financial statement analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with partners and make recommendations
