Description
As a Business Development Manager at National Bank Direct Brokerage (NBDB), you’ll ensure continuous growth in new clients and net investment inflow by developing business relationships with clients and various internal and external partners. This position involves being on the road 100% of the time.
Your role:
- Ensure regional growth in new direct brokerage clients and net investment inflow by creating a business plan approved by the senior manager.
- Meet with clients in person or virtually to close business deals.
- Develop strategies with the Regional Vice-President and various sector leaders to promote NBDB.
- Coach the bank sales force to promote NBDB
- Act as a leader in synergy and investment within your region (being an influencer).
- Host webinars and seminars.
- Attend trade shows.
- Interact with branch managers to enhance collaboration with banking advisors.
- Collaborate with partners to enhance synergy between NBDB and other bank divisions.

As part of the Ontario NBDB Business development team, you’ll be reporting to the Senior Manager of Business Development. Prerequisites:
- Bachelor's degree in administration/finance
- Having completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH), or commit to completing them within 12 months of hire
- Sales and/or business development experience
- Coaching experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to quickly build business relationships
- Good sense of time management
- Proficiency in Mandarin
- Cantonese is an asset
