Our Manager, Mortgage Retention is pivotal to our business unit success in achieving budget growth and profitability targets. We are seeking a deliverables-driven, adaptable professional to provide leadership to the mortgage retention team and drive an award winning culture!
Your role:
- Leadership. Sales. Growth. Strategy. Operational Improvement. Customer Service.
- Manage all sales activities related to a $1 billion+ (annual) maturing loan book to ensure mortgage renewal and growth targets are met.
- Responsible for the pricing of all mortgage renewals to ensure retention rates are balanced with mortgage yields.
- Collaborate with our Underwriting Team on internal refinance strategies to reduce mortgage payouts on a ongoing basis.
- Identify & implement specific strategies to reduce mortgage payouts on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure all mortgage retention activities are conducted in a manner that reflects the Optimum Mortgage values of timely & accurate service.
- Act as a first point of contact for mortgage retention customer concerns & complaints.
- Design & implement improvements in execution to drive increase to retention volumes and maintain proper yield.
- Demonstrated success of sales coaching to anchor our clients with franchising opportunities with referrals to CWB partners.
- Manage all daily process requirements to ensure mortgage retention activities are completed to required standards (as outlined in the C-34 and CT-36 lending policies, regulatory requirements, etc.)
- Manage all mortgage retention reporting requirements.
- Provide formal and informal coaching/mentorship to the team and provide vital sales and service to achieve departmental performance targets
Your team:
As part of the Optimum Mortgage sector, you’ll be on a team of five of colleagues and you’ll report to the Senior Manager. Our team stands out for its expertise in Alt A lending, the quality of its delivery, the client/employee experience it offers, the great work atmosphere, and its collaboration with outside vendors (lawyers, brokers etc.).
Prerequisites:
- Diploma/Degree in a business-related field or related work experience in the financial services/mortgage industry.
- 5 years of demonstrated ability, including management experience in the financial services industry with a demonstrated history of exceeding performance targets, residential mortgage underwriting experience.
- Solid understanding of mortgage products such as Conventional mortgages, High-Ratio Insured mortgages, and HELOC products.
- Solid knowledge of industry lending policy/guidelines
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with other Microsoft Office products.
