Principal Security Architect

A career as a Principal Security Architect within the CISO sector, at the National Bank of Canada, means participating in the implementation of the organization's Cybersecurity Roadmap and defining technological solutions to improve the posture of the organization in the sub-domains of Vulnerability Management, Endpoint Security (EPS) and Network and Cloud Security.

Your job

• Translate your field's business and organizational needs into IT solutions, offering the best possible capabilities in terms of functional coverage, scalability, operational reliability, financial viability, security, sustainability and ease of maintenance.
• Understand the organization's Cybersecurity business strategy, issues and operational reality, in order to guide IT teams in the development of innovative and efficient security solutions relating to asset protection, processes and tools.
• Influence stakeholders involved in the development and execution of the Cybersecurity roadmap to maximize and optimize the use of cybersecurity services in your field.
• Be on the lookout for industry trends in your field and understand the impacts that these trends have on processes, applications and business data management within the organization.
• Participate in the identification and mitigation of risks and issues in Cybersecurity and/or Business transformation projects/programs.
• Support projects from end-to-end until the operationalization of the solutions is defined in the architecture phase.
• Support the organization's culture of innovation by identifying, selecting and testing innovative solutions that have strong potential in terms of reducing Cybersecurity risk for the organization and its customers.
• Strengthen a proactive and collaborative culture and approach, while soundly questioning needs, proposed solutions and the status quo.

IT at National Bank is more than 2,300 experts who work in an agile, proactive and collaborative manner to seize opportunities, stay at the cutting edge of technology and continuously improve processes. Within the CISO sector, you will be part of a team of around ten solution architects specializing in various areas of Cybersecurity.

Prerequisites

• Professional experience of several years in the architecture of Cybersecurity solutions and in supporting business projects in relation to their IT security needs.
• Political sense and proven skills in stakeholder management (business partners, project stakeholders, third-party suppliers, partners, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge and experience in the field of asset protection, including the following elements: governance and concepts in security risk management, End Point Security (EPS), Vulnerability Management (VM), Application Security (AppSec / SSDLC) and network security.
• Prior experience implementing cloud security solutions.
• Experience in designing complex and critical solutions.
• Adherence to DevOps culture and prior experience in DevOps delivery environments.
