A career as a Product Manager in the Banking and Treasury Solutions team at National Bank means participating in the transformation to have a direct impact on the client.

The banking environment in Canada is rapidly changing and undergoing important transformations. As a Product Manager, you will be involved at the tactical and strategic level in all facets of the management of Corporate Banking and Treasury Solutions products (strategic plan, projects, pricing, etc.).

With your knowledge of the market and trends, you will have to ensure the alignment of the various stakeholders with the product strategy.


Your job:

  • For the product portfolio under your responsibility:
    • Keeping up with evolving client needs in the business sector, from small businesses to larger businesses in Canada!
    • Be on top of market trends in Canada and around the world. Cash management is changing, and so are consumers!
    • Assess the Bank's competitive position and recommend strategies to optimize its positioning in the industry.
    • Track your portfolio’s KPIs: Forecast the growth rate of your products and track sales and product usage volumes
    • Establish product pricing strategies based on profitability and growth objectives
    • Develop, influence and implement large-scale projects, business processes and mandates (new products, new features, eliminating obsolete solutions, external partnerships, etc.)
    • Ensure sound risk management and product action plan

·                Act as a "coach" within the work team and more particularly with the product officers.

·                Prioritize the portfolio of initiatives, based on benefits, human resources, budget, and IT capabilities.

·                Support strategies and decisions through financial targets and analyses

·                Prepare and deliver Executive Presentations

·                Be responsible for and deliver some of the projects related to your product portfolio.

·                Track results, analyze variances, and take action as needed

·                Guide business lines in terms of pricing and products offered when drafting calls for tenders.

·                Negotiate large and complex agreements with various business partners.

·                Know and follow the Canadian banking regulatory framework.


Your team:

Within the Corporate sector, you are part of a team of 5 colleagues and report to the Senior Manager Evolution of Banking and Treasury Solutions.

Prerequisite:

·                Industry-related bachelor's degree and seven years of relevant experience OR Industry-related master's degree and five years of relevant experience

·                Experience in strategy and product management. Knowledge of commercial products and cash management, more specifically positive pay solutions, lockboxes, smartsafes and BAI reporting is an asset.

·                Experience in managing and delivering projects, particularly in matrix mode

·                Excellent communication, both oral and written

·                Experience in managing business partnerships and partner relationships.

·                Proficiency in Office 365 suite software as well as JIRA\Confluence
