A career as a Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering Advisor in  the Wealth Management team at National Bank means acting as an expert to ensure regulatory compliance and support teams in proactively managing risks related to money laundering and terrorist financing. This role allows you to have a positive impact by leveraging your analytical skills and knowledge of AML regulations.

Your Role

  • Ensure the implementation of regulatory requirements and initiatives related to anti-money laundering in the wealth management sector.
  • Ensure that policies and procedures are compliant, up-to-date, and tailored to the needs of business lines.
  • Provide the necessary advisory support to business lines.
  • Support teams in the proactive management of high-risk clients.
  • Collaborate on the development of new products and initiatives in compliance with AML/ATF requirements.
  • Create and present compliance dashboards and reports for management.
  • Develop training materials.
  • Participate in AML/ATF monitoring, establish a governance process, and ensure the implementation of regulatory requirements regarding sanctions.

Basic requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in financial crime, law, accounting, or a related field.
  • 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in the securities industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of AML regulations (OSFI, FINTRAC, CSA).
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
