Description
A career in Financial Accounting at National Bank means contributing to the Bank’s transformation and having a direct impact on clients. As a senior analyst in the Financial Accounting - Banking Products team, you will offer solid expertise in your field of activity, and influence decisions and orientations based on the sector’s business objectives. You will also carry out complex analyses in order to provide the information required to make decisions.
Your role
- Coordinate all activities related to consolidating the sector’s financial results
- Liaise with the Disclosure team and stakeholders from different teams and act as a resource person on various accounting and business matters for the sector (complex analyses, possible solutions and recommendations)
- Present consolidated results for Personal and Commercial Banking sector
- Monitor the balance sheet
- Analyze and interpret financial data, explain gaps and irregularities, and ensure corrections are made, as applicable
- Improve and establish new control and follow-up measures and make adjustments as necessary
- Act as an expert on accounting for the Bank’s savings products (deposits) and credit products (loans), conduct in-depth research and document transactional accounting systems
- Analyze the impact of changes or new products on the team’s operations and/or on financial statements and management reports
- Produce reports and maintain tools
Your team
You’ll be part of a team of 5 employees in the Financial Accounting - Banking Products sector. This team’s mission is to ensure appropriate accounting for banking products, oversee the integrity of financial information and support the various Personal and Commercial Banking business lines in calculating and reporting their results.

Prerequisite
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and seven years of relevant experience OR master’s degree in a related field and five years of relevant experience
- CPA accounting designation
- Strong analytical skills
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Knowledge of the SAP environment
- Leadership, independence, strong work ethic and curiosity
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain concepts in plain language
