As a Senior Analyst in the Portfolio Management team at National Bank Financial, you will act as a specialist in portfolio management oversight. Your technical skills, financial experience, and knowledge of best practices in portfolio management will have a positive impact on the quality of portfolio management provided to National Bank Financial clients.

Your role

  • Participate in the calculation and analysis of portfolio manager performance.
  • Contribute to the quarterly oversight of various investment solutions (compliance with investment policy statements, performance, etc.).
  • Help verify that transactions comply with investment policy statements prior to execution.
  • Review and validate financial data for client publications.
  • Cross-reference and analyze data from various sources and produce reports (periodic and on-demand).
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Within the Portfolio Management sector, you will report to the Senior Portfolio Manager. Our team stands out for its expertise and unique blend of portfolio management and oversight.

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, combined with 3 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of financial markets and securities regulations.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including VBA (required); knowledge of Power BI, SQL, and Python (an asset).
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH), or a commitment to complete them within 12 months.
  • Bilingualism is necessary due to regular interactions with colleagues across Canada.
