A career as a Senior Data Scientist in the Credit Risk team at National Bank means acting as a risk modeling specialist to strengthen the financial resilience of our organization. This job allows you to use your analytical skills and credit risk expertise to design, validate and optimize innovative models that support the Bank's sustainable growth.

Your job

  • Define the methodology for developing, validating and monitoring the performance of credit risk models, and popularize it with internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
  • Collaborate with various partners such as business lines, modeling, IT and operations teams.
  • Act as a technical reference to colleagues and contribute to strategic committees.
  • Identify issues related to models and propose appropriate solutions while ensuring stakeholder buy-in.
  • Evolve modeling practices in line with regulatory requirements and industry advances.

Prerequisite

  • Relevant education and 3-5 years of experience as a data scientist.
  • Experience in the use of quantitative methods and modelling approaches.
  • Proficiency in SAS, R and/or Python.
