A career as Senior Investment Analyst in the Commercial & Private Banking 1859 team means acting as a preferred financial specialist for our current and prospective ultra high net worth clients. Your job:
- Support the ultra-high net worth client base and growth initiatives across Canada both with internal and external partners.
- Work closely with Wealth Advisors and Portfolio Managers to increase the assets under management of the assigned portfolio by offering investment management advisory services in line with client needs.
- Work with Wealth Advisors and Portfolio Managers to develop sound and customized portfolio solutions and investment strategies to match client investment objectives.
- Rigorously analyze potential client investment needs and develop marketing material to present the investment service offering and proposed personalized investment portfolio.
- Ensure continuous monitoring of investment portfolios and establish frequent contacts with Wealth Advisors to follow the evolution of their client needs and adapt solutions accordingly.
- Provide exceptional execution, both in terms of speed, accessibility and accuracy
- Execute market transactions and understand fixed income and equity market technicalities and trading parameters.
- Keep updated on the markets and investment offering through CIO, National Bank Investments, and our Economist and Research groups publications.

Within the Commercial & Private Banking 1859 sector, you are part of the Portfolio Management group and you report to the Portfolio Manager & Director of Private Banking 1859.
Our team stands out for its dedication and expertise. This position is based in Montreal and will likely require travel to cities across Canada.
Prerequisites:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience OR master's degree related to the sector of activity and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or any other relevant combination of experience and training.
- Excellent knowledge of investment products and mastery of financial markets and economics.
- Completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)
- Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills; building client presentations and materials
- Knowledge of FactSet and Refinitiv Workspace, an asset
- Holding another professional title: CFA, CIM, CPA, Pl.Fin very desirable
- Experience with ultra-high net worth clients and/or entrepreneurs and family offices, an asset
- Ability to develop trusting and lasting relationships
