Description
Senior Leader, Financing Solutions will work closely with the commercial underwriting team. You'll act as a coach, mentor and expert advisor to suggest financial strategies that meet the complex needs of commercial clients with all financing needs.
Your main challenges:
- Provide leadership of the credit writing team to support achievement of branch financial objectives for borrowing opportunities through effective and timely assessment of credit applications, credit underwriting, & deal approval for new & existing clients, while balancing risk and reward in line with the Bank’s risk appetite & emphasizing operational improvement & consistent workflows
- Act as a credit subject matter expert, including relevant industry and market trends and the associated credit structuring.
- Help your clients achieve their business objectives by proposing financial strategies based on the most suitable combination of specialized financing products.
- Support the team in identifying full-service solutions for clients & actively referring other lines of business - with the view to be every client’s primary financial partner.
- Identify risks and make recommendations to the credit committee in accordance with Bank policies
- Demonstrate a high level of collaboration and actively participate in achieving your business unit's objectives.
More specifically, you will:
- Participate in preliminary meetings and present financing proposals to medium and large private enterprises that have large financing.
- Help prepare files including due diligence reviews, financial analysis and setting up appropriate financing structures
- Participate in negotiations with internal and external stakeholders (credit committees, clients, legal and financial advisors, other financial institutions, syndication departments, etc.)
- Actively participate in all stages of monitoring and renewing existing credits
- Use credit risk profitability assessment tools to ensure compliance with financing and risk management policies and standards

Basic requirements:
- Completed bachelor's degree in a related field and 10 years’ relevant experience or completed master's degree in a related field and 7 years' relevant experience.
- Experience in financial analysis (financial statements, projections, etc.)
- Experience in commercial credit and knowledge of the Commercial Banking sector
- Experience in credit adjudication supported by well-developed skills in financial statement analysis and knowledge of effective risk mitigation strategies for commercial credit underwriting.
