Your job:

  • Provide legal advice and intervene in strategic matters that have a significant impact on the activities, operations and results of National Bank of Canada and its subsidiaries
  • Conduct analysis and research, issue legal opinions, and make recommendations to ensure the development and protection of National Bank of Canada and its subsidiaries
  • Understand the impact of regulatory requirements on the operations of National Bank of Canada and its subsidiaries
  • Improve internal processes and increase institutional knowledge
  • Analyze, interpret and review various reports and legal documents to protect the rights of National Bank of Canada

Your team:

Being part of the large Legal Affairs team within the Privacy Office means working in a dynamic work environment with colleagues who bring to life the values of complicity, agility and power to act on a daily basis, all in our new, colourful and innovative collaborative spaces. This position reports to a Senior Director, Privacy Sector

Our apprenticeship-in-action training programs allow you to master your craft. Basic requirements

  • Bachelor of Laws and 5 years of experience in one of the following areas of law: artificial intelligence, technology, privacy, governance
  • Member of the Quebec Bar
  • Willingness and ability to learn and contribute in multiple areas of law
  • Experience in the banking industry an asset
  • Possess good judgment and business acumen
  • Propensity to offer efficient and quality service to business partners
  • Proactive, Leadership and Initiative
  • Ability to manage priorities and a large volume of files
  • Experience in a large firm desirable
