A career as a Site Reliability Engineering Specialist in the Transactional Banking APIs team at National Bank means acting as a specialist ensuring the operational reliability of the Transactional Banking APIs assets. Through your experience and knowledge in operational management of high-availability assets (e.g., SLO), you positively impact the bank's stability and reputation among its internal and external users.

Your Role

  • Ensure the operation, maintenance, and continuous evolution of the Transactional Banking APIs assets.
  • Manage operational requests and implement the necessary processes to respond to them.
  • Work with the PO to route operational tasks to development teams.
  • Work on improvements to the bank's IT roadmap and manage disaster recovery (DR) exercises.
  • Manage vulnerabilities and act as a model for operational excellence.
  • Act as a technical authority on monitoring practices and centralize surveillance practices.
  • Apply SRE practices, contribute to the design of efficient architectures, and implement tools and automations to optimize operations and measure API performance.

We prioritize a variety of continuous learning methods to enrich your development, including on-the-job learning, training content at your disposal, and collaboration with colleagues of diverse expertise and profiles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience as an SRE or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency with tools: AWS (IAM, S3, RDS, Redis, ECS, EKS, StepFunctions, Lambda).
  • Technical skills: SQL/PostgreSQL, Terraform, CI/CD (Jenkins, Github Actions, Bitbucket), Docker, Kubernetes (Deployments, Cronjobs, Helm), Istio.
  • Monitoring and logging: Datadog, Splunk.
  • Scripting languages: Bash, Go, Python.
  • Service integration: Working with APIs and integrating services.
