As a Senior Strategy and Risk Advisor, you participate in risk management and business continuity at the Bank in the event of a financial crisis, as part of the Living Wills program.

Living Wills is a cross-functional crisis management and business continuity program at the Bank, aimed at enhancing the Bank's resilience and preparedness in the event of a financial crisis.

In your role, you coordinate the evolution and maintenance of the Living Wills program plans. You act as a specialist in financial crisis management and provide advisory expertise on a cross-functional scale to different business and corporate sectors.

Your job

  • Adapting and maintaining the Living Wills program.
  • Influencing and supporting partners in developing crisis management and business continuity strategie.
  • Guiding the alignment of these strategies with regulatory requirements and the Bank's strategic business objectives, with an integrated vision.
  • Formulating recommendations to mitigate residual risks and their impacts on the operational and financial resilience of the Bank.
  • Participating in financial crisis management and business continuity simulations.
  • Representing the Bank with various organizations and bodies: regulatory authorities, industry, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinating the associated governance process, and producing executive accountabilities for senior management and the board of directors.
  • Acting as a coach and resource person for your colleagues.

Your team

Within the Integrated Risk Management sector, you are part of the larger Strategy and Risks team, composed of twelve colleagues, reporting to the Senior Director, Living Wills. Our team is responsible for creating and maintaining the Bank's financial crisis management program, Living Wills, as well as conducting financial crisis management and business continuity simulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree related to the industry sector and 6-7 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree related to the industry sector and 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in risk management, development, and implementation of risk management processes or frameworks.
  • Demonstrated leadership and proven abilities to ensure effective coordination and partnership in large-scale mandates involving numerous stakeholders.
  • Good knowledge of applicable banking regulations (OSFI, CDIC).
