Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HRIS Technical Lead to join our dynamic HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Workday HCM (Human Capital Management) and related modules, including Advanced Compensation, with a proven track record of system configuration, optimization, and end-user support. As a HRIS Technical Lead, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and maintaining the Workday system, ensuring its alignment with business objectives, and driving continuous improvements to HR processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Configuration and Maintenance:
    • Configure, test, and support Workday modules including HCM, Payroll, Talent Management, Absence, Benefits, Advanced Compensation.
    • Support the implementation of new HR systems
    • Maintain existing HR systems (Workday, Greenhouse, Qualtrics, Bucketlist) and provide technical support when needed
    • Perform system updates and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
    • Develop and maintain Workday integrations with other enterprise systems.
  • Workday Release Management:
    • Manage the deployment of Workday releases, including analyzing and preparing for new functionality, ensuring successful testing, and coordinating the implementation process.
    • Review new features, enhancements, and system changes with stakeholders.
    • Follow the Workday release notes and provide guidance on best practices for utilizing new functionality.
  • Advanced Compensation Management:
    • Manage and maintain compensation plans, compensation grades, and pay components in Workday’s Advanced Compensation module.
    • Support the design of compensation processes, including merit cycles, bonus plans.
    • Troubleshoot compensation issues and work closely with HR and Payroll teams to ensure accurate pay and benefits calculations.
  • Process Improvement and Optimization:
    • Analyze current HR processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for system improvements and automation through Workday capabilities.
    • Lead initiatives to enhance system usage and drive efficiency gains for HR operations.
  • Training and Documentation:
    • Document configurations, processes, and issue resolutions for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
    • Work closely with HR stakeholders to ensure HRIS solutions align with business needs and organizational goals.
    • Stay up-to-date with product updates, new features, and best practices with our HRIS vendors.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Workday HCM, including system configuration, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Deep knowledge of Workday modules, including Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Talent, Absence, Advanced Compensation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Proven experience in managing Workday integrations with third-party systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Data Transformation (e.g., Workday Studio).
  • Experience with Workday Integrations (EIB, Web Services, and Cloud Connect) is an asset
  • Workday certification is highly desirable.
  • General knowledge of HR business processes and best practices.
