Summary: To ensure that the areas of the physical buildings and grounds of the facility are maintained in a condition of operating excellence, safety and cleanliness.
Requirements:
Perform duties and responsibilities on a day-to-day basis, as assigned, to ensure a clean, safe and healthy environment. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Basic building maintenance (e.g. changing light bulbs, changing filters, etc.)
Grounds maintenance (e.g. grass cutting, snow shoveling, etc.)
Waste removal
Dust control
Glass and mirror cleaning
Sweeping
Mopping
Scrubbing
Vacuuming
Stripping and refinishing floors
Replenishing and maintaining an inventory of custodial supplies
Sterilizing and sanitizing fixtures and surfaces
Other related duties as assigned by your Facility Supervisor, Lead Custodian, Principal and/or designate.
Qualifications:
Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in building and grounds maintenance or custodial services would be considered an asset.
Hours of Work: Shifts vary between 6:30 AM to 11:30 PM and by site. Hours are on a call out basis and are not guaranteed.
Rate of Pay: $19.06/hour (inclusive of 4% vacation pay and 4% statutory holiday pay)
