We are seeking a highly motivated and service-oriented End User Support Analyst to provide comprehensive technology support to users at the Éléonore mine. This role involves assisting with applications, desktop equipment, on-site and remote mobile devices, and managing support for external technology services and equipment vendors. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of emerging technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and customers.

Your Role Will Consist of:

Here’s a snapshot of what your day-to-day will look like:

  • Serve as the initial contact for Newmont staff, visitors, and contractors encountering technology-related issues or minor requests on-site.
  • Manage support requests through an electronic ticketing system, ensuring tasks are completed in accordance with performance measures for response time, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, network, and software systems on both mobile and fixed devices, contributing to problem resolution and documenting solutions for future reference.
  • Ensure smooth operation of site technology equipment, including printers, scanners, audiovisual equipment, video systems, electronic screens, and meeting room setups.
  • Participate in regional projects requiring site-level technology involvement as directed.
  • Work closely with regional and global technology teams to maintain and support on-site voice and data networks, servers, storage, and end-user environments.
  • Support suppliers to maintain site stability and troubleshoot server, storage, server room/data center, network, and telephony issues.
  • Contribute to the registration and documentation of site technology assets.
  • Follow Newmont's safety and technology standards when providing services, and collaborate with site personnel to document operational procedures for new initiatives and projects.
  • Participate in safety meetings, staff meetings, and safety inspections, demonstrating consistent safe and secure work practices.
  • Comply with Newmont's health, safety, and environmental policies, standards, and procedures.
Your Training, Skills, and Experience:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in IT support services or technical assistance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within project deadlines.
  • Familiarity with service level agreements and performance measures.
  • Experience with VMware, Microsoft, Cisco, ComTIA A+/N+/Server+ (desirable).

Skills and Abilities:

  • Self-motivated with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to identify problems, make decisions, create solutions, and take action.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and facilitation skills.
Working Conditions

This position is based at the Éléonore mine and involves a combination of office and field work.

A valid driver’s license is required.

The work schedule follows a 14 days on / 14 days off rotation.
