There are two (2) vacancies
This is a site-based position located in Timmins, ON
Provide day to day technical support on services relating to operational technology and data systems. Support Fleet Management Systems technologies such as Minestar, DSS, Surface Manager, two-way radio, telemetry, Blast PED system, Cap lamp and fleet management network etc.. Manage relationship with service providers’ field engineers and operation
Safety and Regulatory / Policy Compliance
- Adhere to Newmont Regional Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures
- Consistently demonstrate and encourage safe work practices.
- Expose to different weather elements, working at heights and interact with Heavy/light equipment daily at the field.
- Support regulatory and corporate compliance initiatives as they pertain to information and content assets.
- Promote and comply with Newmont goals and values.
Incident Management
- Provide support for infrastructure and fleet management wireless system and remote devices.
- Ensure availability of two-way radio communication service in our operational area.
- Provide level 1 and 2 system support for incidents and provide resolution, where appropriate escalate to the supervisor.
- Execute change for field technology services and related equipment
- Tracks related technology issues, coordinates resolution and assists in driving issues to closure
Request Fulfilment
- Provide support for any Field Technology request, such us DSS, Minestar, Surface Manager, Rajant Network, Mobile Trailers,Towers, Point to Point links, etc
- Configure and activate additional services on two-way radio system, fleet system, Blast PED, Telemetry and GPS Augmentation.
- Facilitate and if required install and configure on board equipment requests (such as Minestar, Optimine, Jigsaw, Pitram, Fatigue, Collision detection etc.)
- Support any current or new CAT/Minestar solution.
Asset Management
- Manage operational technology network and computing assets e.g. Minestar, jigsaw, pitram, access points etc.)
- Work with service providers to provide timely repair and system maintenance.
- Ensure all necessary safety procedures are followed during technology support.
- Ensure equipment inventory and design documentation is always updated.
- Become familiar with and strictly adhere to Newmont’s Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science/ Engineering, Electrical, Technologist, Mechanic or related.
- Understanding of ITIL Cross functional management process.
- Broad knowledge of all technology considerations (performance, scalability, maintainability, deployment, operations, technology infrastructure)
- Emerging technologies
- Valid "G" drivers license
- Experience with Rajant, CAT technologies is an asset
- 3 to 5 years work experience in technical roles including Technology Management.
- Prior mining or industrial experience is required.
- Customer relationship experience.
This is a site based position located in Timmins, ON
The schedule is 4 days on 3 days off
