The Jumbo-Bolter Development Miner is part of the Mine Operations team. He/she ensures the advancement of the drifts and rehabilitation of the blast holes.

Description
  • Load blast holes and fire shots
  • Drill the blast holes according to the plans and specifications
  • Clean up his; her workplace and perform basic maintenance of equipment
  • Participate in the deployment of water, air and ventilation utilities
  • Ensure compliance with the health and safety rules regarding the position
  • Perform his/her tasks according to the Company's standards
  • Complete any tasks related to the performance of his duties
Requirements
  • Have at least 5 to 10 years’ experience on MacLean and Jumbo bolters
  • Have abilities and experience to operate the boom drill (bolting and drilling)
  • DEP (diploma of vocational education) in ore extraction
  • Have the mine worker modular training card
  • Hold a general explosives permit
  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Bilingual (an advantage)
  • Be accredited by the Éléonore Training Department
Working Conditions
  • Work schedule: 14 days of work followed by 14 days of rest
  • Éléonore mine site (round-trip flights from Montreal, Chibougamau, Matagami, Rouyn-Noranda, Val D'Or and Wemindji)
