Dimensions

This position reports to the Underground Supervisor at the Hoyle Pond Mine site.

Purpose
Essential Duties

  • Must be able to operate mobile equipment such as fork-lift’s and ditch digger
  • Must be able to pull chute on remote with 10 tonne loci
  • Must be able to perform chute blasting
  • Must be able to move personnel, material and explosives using 5 tonne loci
  • Must be able to perform track maintenance as required
  • Other duties as assigned by the Frontline Supervisor
Training & Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • Underground Common Core Certificate
  • Some construction specialty modules:
    • U0006 Blast Rock
    • U0013 Operate Lifting Mechanism(s)
    • U0014 Operate Fork Lift
    • U0019 Perform Track Haulage - Operate Underground Haulage Train Remote Control
    • U0033 Operate Oxyacetylene Equipment
    • U0035 Operate Backhoe
    • U0067 Perform Track Haulage - Operate Underground Haulage Train
    • U0075 Install and Maintain Track System

Other Skills & Abilities:

  • Minimum 12 months
  • Fall arrest training
  • Oxy / Acetylene an asset
  • Self-motivated
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Teamwork orientated
  • Good Safety and attendance record
Working Conditions

The schedule is 5x5x4, as such if you do not live in the area, we will require relocation.

The role is based at our Hoyle Pond site near Timmins, ON.
