TEACHER - LONG TERM OCCASIONAL (LTO)
ST. HUBERT
0.2 FTE (Friday)
Family Studies
Effective immediately,
For an indefinite period, but not to extend beyond June 27, 2024
Mandatory Requirements:
Basic qualifications to teach in the Intermediate Division
Preferred Requirements:
Additional qualification in technological studies in sewing and dressmaking, food and nutrition or home economics or currently enrolled in such a course
Able to plan for and work with a large variety of intermediate students including students with special needs
Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, Google Meet as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY, to facilitate instruction and effective communication with parents
Knowledge of Grade 7 and 8 curriculum in Healthy Living
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage the program budget and classroom materials
Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies
Commitment to being an active participant in the school's professional learning team to promote student achievement
Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties
Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the school environment would be an asset
