As a Water Treatment Technician in the mining sector, you will work in a heavy, highly formalized industrial environment focused on occupational health and safety. You will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of the water treatment facilities of our various mining customers.

Working conditions:

  • Fly in Fly out schedule: 14 to 21 working days followed by 14 to 21 days off;
  • 12-hour working day;
  • Mining sector (in remote areas);
  • Air transportation to the various sites of operation in the Far North from Montreal, Quebec City, Mont-Joli and Sept-Îles.

Your daily life at Nordikeau is:

  • Ensuring the proper functioning of domestic drinking water collection, treatment and distribution facilities;
  • Ensure the proper functioning of domestic wastewater collection and treatment facilities (multiple sites and technologies);
  • Ensure the proper functioning of oily water, red water and stormwater treatment structures
  • Ensure that standards and requirements are met;
  • Take the various samples, carry out all the tests, analyses and dosages necessary for the proper functioning and monitoring of the structures;
  • Write various follow-up reports;
  • Participate in all maintenance and repair work, and check equipment between rounds;
  • Be on call, answer calls and intervene as needed.

What we are looking for in our future colleague:

  • You have obtained a diploma in water treatment (DEC, AEC, DEP or BTS) or a related field, perfect!
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in water treatment, we need you!
  • You have a valid driver's license, it's necessary to hold this position!
  • You are bilingual, very good, which is an asset!
  • You have qualification certificates in water treatment, great! You'll need it!
  • You have technical skills in electricity, automation and plumbing, that's a plus!
  • You know how to show autonomy, versatility and resourcefulness, bingo!
