Northern Lights Public Schools is located in the heart of Alberta's Lakeland region, which offers residents a multitude of outdoor recreation opportunities and stunning displays of the Aurora Borealis. The division is focused on ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed and has designated numeracy and student mental health and wellness as division priorities.

S2425-53 Seasonal Workers (Casual), Successful Families Successful Kids (SFSK) Program

Northern Lights Public Schools is seeking Seasonal Workers (Casual) to work for the Successful Families Successful Kids (SFSK) Program, one in each of the three locations, one (1) full-time position in Bonnyville, one (1) full-time position in Cold Lake, and one (1) part-time position in Lac La Biche. These positions will commence mid June, 2025 and until the end of August, 2025. These assignments require flexibility in hours including week days, and some evening and weekend programming.

Casual Success Coaches are individuals who currently have the experience and/or education to qualify for the role of a Success Coach, but they have been hired on a temporary basis.

The ideal candidate will have :

• Some knowledge of addiction and mental health is preferred

• Familiar with the developmental, educational, emotional, social, and recreational needs of children, youth and families

• Comfortable with public speaking

• Good relationship building skills: friendly and positive.

• Takes initiative and works well with others

• Has or is willing to develop skills in facilitation, positive communication, and creative thinking

• Good personal and work boundaries

• Ability to develop supportive relationships with young people

• Able to advocate for and enable others

• Creative problem ‐ solving and decision ‐ making skills

• Knowledge of available local community resources

• Capable of collecting basic program statistics

• Resilience and a commitment to personal development skills for collecting information and communicating
