Description
Family physicians at the lovely Geriatrics in Motion clinic (located in Clayton Park) are seeking locum coverage over the summer. This practice is located as part of the Shannex campus on Parkland Drive - however patients come from all over HRM and are all demographics. All physicians also do work in Long Term Care as well, through the Care by Design program.
Dates requiring locum coverage:
July 22-Aug 2
August 12 - 23
Sept 16-20.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners’
Act as a patient’s advocate
Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements
To be discussed with clinic.
Eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
