Description
The WSÁNEC School Board invites applications for the following position:
1.0 FTE Continuing: Director, Human Resources (Excluded), 5 days per week, 7 hrs. per day beginning September 3, 2024.
Required qualifications:
Certificate, diploma, bachelor’s degree and/or certification in business administration, leadership, human resource management or similar field, and equivalent combination of related training and experience
Considerable knowledge of HR Principles and experience in performance evaluation and other reports
Leadership abilities in decision making, planning & evaluation, and conflict management
Ability to facilitate satisfaction surveys and employee engagement strategies
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with Managers, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Board of Directors to achieve group and organizational goals
Organize and facilitate work related training and professional learning
Experience supervising and coaching staff
Preference will be given to First Nations Ancestry.
Experience working with First Nations people and/or in a First Nations setting is strongly desired.
